Lonely but Not Alone

Lonely but Not Alone

Have you ever felt alone?  Do you feel like God has forgotten about you? We all have faced this to some extent. At that point, we just want the feeling to go away but often times it comes back. Whether you are going through a change in your life that causes you to be alone or the daily hardships just remember that God’s word provides strength and hope in our moment of sadness and weakness. Even at your loneliest point God is there, his unconditional love surrounds us. Here are 4 verses that will reassure you that you are not alone:

  1. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” – Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
  2. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
  3. “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” – Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
  4. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:35-39 (NIV)
